چکیده
Infectious bronchitis (IB) is one of the most common highly infectious viral respiratory diseases poultry having wide geographical distribution. Yet, little known about infection in northwestern states Nigeria. In this study, a total 263 pooled cloacal and tracheal swab samples were collected from apparently healthy avian species (duck, dove, geese, guinea fowl, local chicken, ostrich, parrot, pigeon, peacock, turkey). The nine live bird markets three (Kaduna, Kano Jigawa) northwestern, Nigeria September through November 2017. Total RNAs extracted directly screened for virus (IBV) using real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. An overall prevalence 38.0% (100/263)was recorded. IB was detected 70 % (7/10) with 100 chicken 45.9 %, duck 42.3 geese 26.6 pigeon 23.5 turkey 20.0 fowl 6.2 %. Conversely, no detection made peacock. Widespread distribution IBV observed evidence subclinical seven out ten (70 %) sampled. These harbouring may act as reservoirs an influence on ecology epidemiology disease. Continuous surveillance characterization different serotypes are recommended to inform adoption suitable vaccination strategy control measures disease Nigeria.

Prevalence of Avian Influenza in Live Bird Markets, Bird Gardens, and Zoos in Iran in 2015: A Cross-sectional Study
Avian Influenza (AI) H9N2 is endemic in Iran; therefore, it is necessary to estimate the disease prevalence among birds in live bird markets (LBMs) and assess the risk spread across the country. Accordingly, this study aimed to estimate the prevalence of AI subtypes in LBMs, bird gardens, and zoos during October and November 2015 in Iran and investigate the associated risk factors. Data related...

متن کاملMolecular Detection of Gamma Coronaviruses in Bird Parks of Iran
Gamma Coronaviruses (GCoVs) are distributed worldwide, affecting a wide range of bird species, the beluga whale, and bottlenose dolphins. Because of the limited proofreading capability in the viral encoded polymerase, they emerge genetically diverse. There has been no molecular surveillance data to describe the epidemiology of GCOVs in avian species. The present study was conducted to detect GC...
متن کاملSurveillance and control of avian influenza in the New York live bird markets.
A comprehensive avian influenza control program was established for the New York live bird market (LBM) system. Its purpose was to eliminate avian influenza virus (AIV) from the marketing system. The application of science-based surveillance, improved diagnostic performance, voluntary efforts of the LBM owners, and regulatory enforcement have resulted in the elimination of an H7 low pathogenic ...
